Sans jamais rejoindre d'école d'art, Evelyne Sie, née à Paris, a façonné son style en autodidacte. Depuis Saint-Paul-de-Vence où elle est installée, l’artiste travaille ses oeuvres figuratives par série à l’acrylique, ajoutant le cas échéant une pointe d’huile, pour mettre en scène de magnifiques silhouettes à travers lesquelles pointe un récit que le spectateur est libre d’interpréter. Marquées par l’élégante posture et l’attitude singulière des personnages, ses compositions témoignent des sensations non seulement ressenties mais également transmises.
Bien qu'Évelyne Sie ne soit pas une peintre hyperréaliste, son style figuratif affiche sa singularité, notamment par rapport aux poses des sujets. Without ever joining an art school, Evelyne Sie, born in Paris, shaped her style as an autodidact.
